Treat yourself to the magic of Patzcuaro, truly the “best kept secret” of all of Mexico’s colonial cities.

Founded and established in Pre-Hispanic times, as a Purepecha spiritual center, it is aptly named “Patzcuaro” which in the Purepecha language means "doorway to heaven".  Build your own memories of  the folklore, the celebrations, the religious traditions and the delightful flavors of Michoacáns unique cuisine.

“I fell in love with Pátzcuaro in 1992, and have remained under its spell ever since.

The  mysterious serenity of its landscape so beautifully captured and preserved in some of Mexico’s most important films of the 1940’s (Cine de Oro), only skims the surface of the depth and wealth of its heritage and culture .

It was all this which fueled and fed the artist in me. A “Shaman” told me it was my destiny. Now I want to share my love & passion for Patzcuaro with you.”   Victoria Ryan
